Jennifer Mullan was left distraught and deeply shocked after the bird flew at her as she walked through the park on Sunday. The bird cut her hand however a passing cyclist stopped and was able to scare the bird away before doing further damage.

“Can you make other people aware of this pheasant please. I’ve posted on a few pages but I know you reach more people.
“This bird is in breeding season and extremely aggressive. I was lucky a cyclist came along and scared it away.”
Believed to be a Reeve’s pheasant, these hardy birds are often aggressive towards humans, animals and other pheasants during the breeding season.
