A new bannerette for Rathfriland Royal Black District No. 7 was dedicated at a service in Third Rathfriland Presbyterian Church by Rathfriland RBP 170, recently.
The service was conducted by Sir Knight Rev Trevor Boyd.
During the service new cuffs were presented to Rathfriland Royal Black District officers by Sir Knight Samuel McConnell, Imperial Deputy Grand Master.
He also handed over a new bannerette to District standard Bearer Sir Knight Billy Maxwell.
This was carried at the head of Saturday’s County Demonstrationwhich was held in Rathfriland with preceptories coming from right across County Down for the parade.
Sir Knight, Pastor Roy Graham, District Chaplain, dedicated the new bannerette and cuffs.
The Rathfriland Royal Black and Orange choir took part in the service with Hilary Hamilton on the piano.
Third Rathfriland Presbyterian Church choir led the praise.
The WDM of Rathfriland Royal Black District Sir Knight Harold Henning welcomed all the Sir Knights.
Sir knight William Walsh WM of Rathfriland Royal Black preceptory 170 proposed a vote of thanks and after the service the new bannerette was paraded led by Drumlough pipe Band.
