Speaking about the event, Chairman of Lisburn City Council’s Economic Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart, said: “This year’s event is particularly significant, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of a friendship declaration between Wanganui, New Zealand and the City of Lisburn.”
Apple Day is part of a UK wide scheme to celebrate traditional varieties of apple and has been held at Ballance House for a number of years.
