Animal first aid event at Cromlyn House
The evening started with a warm welcome from clinical director Lynn Heffron who then introduced members of the veterinary and nursing staff who gave short presentations on different aspects of first aid.
Topics covered included how to deal with an animal involved in a road traffic accident, management of epilepsy, accidental poisoning, heat stroke, collapse and over exertion, insect stings, whelping, wounds and bandaging techniques. A lively question and answer session followed the talks.
