Action call after accident
SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly wants the installation of road safety measures on the Derryhirk Road following an accident last week.
A woman had to be cut from her car after her vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.

Hide AdMrs Kelly said: “This dangerous bend in the road has become an accident black-spot. The young woman involved in this latest accident was sustained injuries; however, the outcome could have been much worse.
“Had she strayed onto the other side of the road she could have easily drowned in the flooded fields.
“Speaking to residents you get a clear picture that this is not a rare occurrence with many accidents and near misses going unreported.
“The SDLP has been highlighting issues in the area for years, but calls for action have fallen on deaf ears. Not only is the road surface in very poor condition but there are virtually no verges on either side of the road and there is a substantial drop on each side of the road.
