A2 team to meet Minister
Members of the local authority have been trying for some time to secure the meeting with calls for the Minister to visit the borough as the preferred option. This week an agreement was finally reached, whereby one representative from each party in the Council will travel to Stormont for an afternoon meeting.
They will present the Minister with a copy of a petition, which currently has almost 2,000 signatures, demanding that he reverses his decision in relation to the borough’s key arterial route.

Council also praised the positive response the petition had received after signs were erected along the route encouraging local commuters to give their support.
