'˜Ultra' exciting time for Antrim DJ Brett Kydd
Just two years ago Brett was shortlisted to play at the festival after making it to the final of the ‘Travel To Ultra - DJ Competition’, only narrowly losing out on the winning spot, but now after moving from the amateur ranks to the professional, he’s been booked by the festival off his own steam.
“It’s a great feeling for all the hard work I’ve put in over the last few years to be recognised and to make the dream of playing Ultra come true,” Brett said.

“In clubs you can test your newest music to a certain degree but with Ultra I’ll be playing them to an international crowd so it gives me a great chance to show off what I’m capable of.
“Going from losing a competition to play at Ultra to actually getting booked to play means it’s like a dream come true, so I’ll have to get to work on my next big dream – headlining it.”
Brett will be playing his Ultra Festival set at his homecoming gig in Maddens Bar, Antrim on July 30.
