Fancy a crossriver challenge?
Mencap’s regional fundraising manager, Vanessa Elder said, “I am actually looking forward to it, it’ll be exhilarating and a fun way to raise the money we need to enable the thousands of people with a learning disability and their families we support to live their lives the way they want. Mencap has had an office in Ballymoney for a number of years and runs a number of local services, so I hope we can attract some local Zippers.’
The event takes place on Sunday 21 September at Donegall Quay near the ‘Big Fish’. To experience this adrenalin rush, you need to be 16 or over, be under 108 kilos (17 stone) and can raise £100. For more information call 028 9069 1351 or email [email protected]

I am running the Causeway half marathon at the end of the month, but haven’t done this kind of thing before. It’ll be fun, if not a little scary, but I am looking forward to the challenge and would encourage people to take the challenge,” she said.
